Jules working with a nature clubSupporting Eco-schools

 The Eco-schools programme offers schools an opportunity to outline their commitment to the environment and ingrain the concept of sustainability into all aspects of the school's workings - from the classroom to the canteen.

Prospective Eco-schools can apply for Bronze Awards, Silver Awards and Green Flag Status - all of which provide a number of benefits to schools. Excellent guidance about Eco-schools can be found here: www.eco-schools.org.uk

Jules has worked with a number of schools in guiding and facilitating their journey toward Eco-school Bronze and Silver status. This journey involves supporting the creation of an Eco-school council, undertaking an Environmental Review, Action Plan and Eco-code - and helping the whole school and local community engage with the school's new eco-message. 

Eco-school support can be provided to schools through a number of Wildlife-man sessions with pupils, spread over a six week period - often Jules may work with an pre-existing nature club or gardening club.
